Wall St. Journal: Financial journalist Patrick McGee estimates that Apple alone invested $275 billion over five years in Chinaโan amount, in real terms, twice that of the Marshall Plan.

10/ Clarity & intent are the standard, not graphic design. I would love to hear what helps you feel confident sharing your work, & what gets in the way.

9/ If you have taken an idea lately, consider posting your adapted version, even if rough. Add a note on what you changed, what surprised you, or what children found tricky. If you are hesitating to share, offer one small task or prompt this week.

8/ A stronger professional cycle: share an idea, adapt it to your sequence, try it with children, then share back what changed & what you learned. That is how ideas mature & workload reduces without losing rigour.

7/ Appearance matters less than clarity. Mary Myattโs โuseful & beautifulโ reminds us that beauty is about precision that supports thinking, not decoration. Simple resources can be excellent resources. A plain layout can still enable deep disciplinary thinking.

6/ Reauthoring also sharpens what success will sound & look like beyond completion. Finished work is a weak proxy for learning. Another trend: some teachers hold back from sharing because they fear judgement, or think their materials do not look polished enough.

5/ Tasks earn their place when they grow from the curriculum sequence & lesson purpose. Adapting forces us to clarify why it sits here, what knowledge it draws on, which misconceptions it may reveal, & how it will stretch children.

4/ Yet a task works because of the thinking behind it. If we lift it straight into a new unit or class, that thinking can be skipped. The task may look fine, while learning stays thin.

3/ Sharing resources matters. It reduces workload, spreads good practice, & helps us move faster.

2/ When someone shares a strong task, the first reply is often โCan I have the file?โ I get it. We are time poor, we want tomorrowโs lesson to land well, & a sharp resource helps.

A thread ๐งต about #TaskDesign & #Edutwitter 1/ Over recent years, as online teacher communities shift, I keep noticing a pattern in how we interact around resources. It shapes our culture, so it is worth naming.

Today #Year6 tried the new interactive hexagon feature on Chalk Learning. Quick to set up and easy to share by Showbie link or QR code with no logins and no fuss. Children loved it and even asked for an undo button. One to watch. #TaskDesign #Hexagons #EdTech #Edutwitter

This book from a former colleague who was an outstanding teaching assistant, a deeply knowledgeable English expert & a truly talented writer. If this book is anything like her previous short stories, itโll be exceptional. ๐ buy it!! https://t.co/AiJFPGluvO

We donโt need to react to every voice on the Curriculum Review. Itโs exciting, daunting, and already a little exhausting. The temptation to interpret it through our subject lens is real. Pause. Read it. Revisit it. Let it breathe. #CurriculumReview #TaskDesign #edutwitter
