& remind everyone boarding was only for those seating in rows 50+ yet, nothing changed. Passed several gates before this but didn’t see a single instance where people behaved like this with a collective aversion towards basic civility & discipline. 2/n

We call for system change but even the affluent among us who experience developed countries somehow cannot fathom to follow basic rules when it comes to 🇱🇰. So before u ask for system change, & go off looking for easy moral virtue; perhaps check yourself first.

@MGaneshathasan Despite being called the best airport in the world, changi has the most ridiculous boarding and gate arrangement. Not only UL, for many flights they need to form snake like queues as the security check is at the gate not at an earlier point

@MGaneshathasan I was one the Singapore airlines flight on the same evening to Colombo. Same thing. Said for row 60 to 70 to board and everyone jumps up to form a line.

@MGaneshathasan Best part was staff and some passengers were telling others , your seat number is in the 30’s or 40’s go and sit but majority of people could not understand that basic point .

@MGaneshathasan The same happened yesterday with flight UL607 from Sydney to Colombo, however 95% of the passengers travelling in it was our neighbours more disciplined than us 😀

@MGaneshathasan I went through a similar scenario at Dubai airport while waiting to board. Also the moment the fligjt landed & the air hostess announce please remain seated, be patient not to stand all together and block the path however that was useless to them. All they do is total opposite🤷‍♀️

@MGaneshathasan Hate this happens. Not only in SL or SL flights. Montreal to Doha same. But staff come on PA and guided and then lines formed. At Doha to CMB..same. staff had to push back folks . In Sri Lanka we need to teach basic qualities like. 1. First come first serve. But no role models
