Even small dogs at home can access low level letterboxes. 1000+ serious finger bite injuries on posties over the last decade alone! With many full or partial finger amputations too π We need to follow Europe with a minimum letterbox height standard. @MDSPNews @WAGLabLiv ππ»
Positive meeting today with @mtpennycook & @NWCWU on the negative impact of low-level letter boxes for postal workers. Over 2,000 dog attacks a year, plus 154,000 lost work days due to significant musculoskeletal problems. We lag behind others internationally on this. I'll work

Our teams were at the 'Child dog safety policy workshop' today at the Merseyside Police Training Academy, using our virtual canine as an example of how technology can support training for preventative action, reducing the number of dog related incidents in Merseyside.
