Like AO3 not having ads is not a bonus to me if one of the main reasons is the fact that it allows abhorrent content that basically make it impossible for any advertiser to want to be there

This tweet was about RPF (REAL person fiction) of minors being allowed on AO3 and just look at the response it's gotten. Only on Twitter is "child porn is bad" a hot take that gets you backlash.

@MAGICALGAYMERS I use ao3 and I can say even if you do filter out stuff you don’t wanna see, if someone slightly labeled it different it’ll still show up. If I block out “incest” and someone’s tag is some “sibling incest” I’ll still see it unless I go back and block out that specfic phrase

@MAGICALGAYMERS don't normally get into discourse but in my second fic on there i think?? i expressed discomfort at the relatively large amount of nsfw fics for the fandom (madoka magica, all the characters are 14 except for mami who is 15) and i got so many bad comments i deleted it
