Another myth about congenital heart disease is that once the patient has had surgery, their problems will be solved. However this is just the start of the journey. Regular check-ups, medications, and the worry of new complications are part of life for many living with CHD.

The training bottlenecks are an utter disgrace. More trained doctors means more patients treated, better job satisfaction, and better retention. This hopeless mismanagement is driving away talent and patients suffer as a result. Our policy must be implemented in full asap
