@Lucy_cat_lady i agree most people are not raised/taught well how to look after a home. for all kinds of reasons. i am horrified though by the idea the ‘woman’ is *supposed* to wake up earlier than tha man specifically to put coffee on. i hope this guy is single his whole life.

@Bluebirdlouise I do everything from cleaning the oven,building flat packs,baking cakes,cooking a roast, washing clothes to drilling holes to put up a hanging basket & painting the garden fence. Nobody taught me, I learned from trial & error but I wouldn’t do it for some bloke to sit on his arse

@Lucy_cat_lady Anyone else reminded of The Stepford Wives? A book by Ira Levin and a film of the same name. I've been happily divorced since 1991. I have always done everything, children, work, house including decorating and maintenance. It all became so much simpler once the ex was gone.
