In all my 58 years, some 50+ of which have been spent in schools, I have never yet seen a large photo of the reigning monarch on permanent display, so why now?
#wasteofmoney
To those replying there was one in their school, Iโm not doubting but that was not generally the norm & isnโt the point. I donโt remember every public building having THE SAME picture of the Queen paid for by the government with taxpayers money that could have been used elsewhere
@Lucy_cat_lady
Countries like China ๐จ๐ณ and Iran and Russia put photos of their rulers in schools and public buildings to remind people who is boss ๐ง

One thing we can be pretty certain of is that a decision to spend money this way was not one the King would have suggested or supported personally.

In my view, theyโre pampering to the idea Britain (and its Monarch) are best. Americans do a similar thing to boost national pride- however they donโt have a monarchy. It also supposes that all British citizens support the idea of a monarchy. I donโt. It sucks.

The RW says we aren't patriotic enough so they want to force us into it.
By the way, if you don't embrace it, the conclusion drawn is that you must hate your country.
