Update: He’s just finished the interview and he starts next Monday on a 2 week trial basis as a trainee accountant at an accountancy firm.

After a tough week having to attend not 1 but 2 interviews with my autistic son at the job centre and apply for a bunch of unsuitable jobs just to ensure he continues to get his £257 a month UC, yesterday he finally got offered a job interview in his chosen field🤞🤞🤞

My Sister has autism, we know they have special, focussed skills for pouring over and organising data. I’m sure he’ll be brilliant. She runs a tight medical records ship, no incidents or complaints about missing data or data breaches on her watch in 10 years!

Absolutely brilliant 😃 my son was diagnosed recently as an adult and this has given him insight into why he experiences things the way he does 👍he is much more at ease with himself now the challenges autism brings can be so overwhelming 💕
