UPDATE: 10,473 votes were cast on the first day of early voting in Lubbock County, which a 27% increase from the previous record turnout on the first day of early voting in 2016.

The Frenship and Lubbock-Cooper school boards voted to not let virtual students participate in extracurricular activities where attendance is necessary, such as athletics and band.
