We didn’t begin buying doses in June.
We did order 25 Million doses for a premium from COVAX in November 2020.
This was after we could only get access to 10 Million Pfizer from Pfizer. As the vast majority of mRNA doses had already been scooped up by US, EU, Canada, UK & Japan.

So the deal with COVAX is poorer nations get left overs? pathetic.
A lot of these nations may not have operations in place to ensure these 1mil P vax will get administered by expiry date. So isnt it better to ensure they be given fresh supply and not left overs close to expiry.

The selfishness of older Australians is appalling, in most countries the older cohort will happily sacrifice themselves for their kids, here they can't be bothered getting AZ despite low risk. They're happy for devastation from LD to continue & for poorer nations to miss out too!
