The toy dolls scene in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang has got to be one of the most immensely underrated pieces of choreography in film. The sheer amount of muscle control and ‘static flow’ needed is crazy

I just saw the phrase « mettre une branlée » for the first time… and, well, now I know what branler actually means in its purest form.

The Bidding Room is one of those programmes that always seems at the very least moderately interesting in the same way as The Repair Shop or Money For Nothing, but it always just feels like a weirdly naff version of Dragon’s Den.

Is it really a surprise that so many of us are leaving when perhaps the most open-minded, socially conscious and generally decent generations are seeing the country just eradicate itself and horrific levels of division taking over in the blink of an eye?

🚨 BREAKING: Rachel Reeves says she is cutting the annual cash ISA limit from £20,000 to £12,000 from April 2027 to encourage people to invest in stocks and shares This will only apply to under 65s #Budget

And a huge amount of those millions will get chucked straight into unemployment as the smaller businesses that can only just about pay minimum wage have to shut down… and then be fighting to get other jobs, and the cycle continues to be increasingly vicious.
BREAKING: Millions of people earning minimum wage will get a pay rise next year, the government has announced. Read the full story 🔗 https://t.co/R8wBOwbjIr

THIS SO MUCH I have not seen it so starkly before now, but so many of the most incredible, admirable, intelligent people I know are just being barraged by, like… the world. This year in particular, it has been an insane thing to see.

it’s practically that time of year where I say once again that « it’s a time for giving, a time for getting; a time for forgiving and for forgetting » is one of the best song lyrics ever created
