Adam and Lute being abusive towards the Exorcists feels like a retcon Vivziepop added to make them more evil cause it was never hinted at but we SEE them act like a team and Adam got mad when one of them died
Vaggie's storyline has the depth of a puddle. It's clear that they wanted to add something outside to make the sky the "bad guy" and Vaggie appear as the "victim."
