Steve Cohen should be watching the Braves win and preparing himself to open the checkbook for Carlos Correa. The 14th pick in the draft should not matter more than a chance to win in 2022.

Absolutely.

can’t keep wasting the best years of Jacob deGrom. He’s not going to make this “build up” to a winner. Blow the damn doors off & just go for it this winter. Worry about 5-6yrs from now in 5-6yrs. Luxury tax penalties will mean shit if you win WS
@LeboMyEggo
had this conversation with like 30 fans. They say The 14th pick is better than Correa... How is this even a debate? Wait on a potential star or sign an already in his prime star that can help our ready to win now team? Baez, Correa, Lindor, Alonso. That lineup would fuck.
@LeboMyEggo
I think the 250-300 million is gonna be the bigger stumbling block that a journeyman infielder which is what a 14th pick is more than likely to wind up being. But I'd love Correa and think he'd thrive in NY. Probably will...in the Bronx.
@LeboMyEggo
We need to sign him after the new CBA because that draft compensation is something they players want to get rid of. They might have to agree to more playoff games for the owners to give that up.
@LeboMyEggo
If you think the Braves run should inspire the Mets to spend big think again.
If anything it’s the opposite!
Soler, Duvall, Pederson, and Rosario cost the Braves a bag of balls.
Spending wisely minor league depth, and scouting are far more valuable.
@LeboMyEggo
Let's sign 8 shortstops so the shifts work really well. Baez , Correa, Seager, Story , Siemian we can bring up Mauricia and Vientos since we already have Lindor hopefully the ball never makes it out of the infield
