We’ve been getting ready for September with the first delivery of fabulous new books for our class reading areas. Each teacher has selected 5 new texts that reflect the realities of the pupils they will be teaching. So many wonderful titles by so many fantastic authors! 📚
I received a message on ClassDojo today from one of our parents asking if it was okay for their son to water the plants through the fences at school. Of course, I agreed and they’ve sent me these photographs of their hard work ❤️☀️💦🪴

The children's university programme at Lea Forest has been specifically designed to provide a broad range of clubs to encourage children to participate in learning beyond the classroom and open up career pathways. In tonight’s clubs, school was a hive of activity!👩🏽🍳🧑🏻🌾👨🏻🎓

has achieved the Unicef UK’s Rights Respecting School Award at GOLD standard. Our UNICEF assessor reported that “It was evident that children’s rights are embedded across the school and underpin every facet of school life.”
