It's starting to feel like the end of the party here, with a lot of sensible people looking at their watches and making pointed remarks about how they'd better be off. I've been having a look at alternatives and more and more people seem to be going blue. Even @Number10cat !

π Making AI work for healthcare, not against it New White Paper from Centre for Assuring Autonomy, @MPSFoundation & @Improve_Academy warns that AI benefits to patients may be lost if clinicians find the tech burdensome. Access the White Paper here: https://t.co/28GcUFCgYn

Right, time to test the "free speech absolutism" of this place: A BlueSky "starter pack" for UK #MedTwitter - happy to take suggestions (and if it goes over 50 there will be more!) https://t.co/ajlLGSzzg0

Do I know any front-end developers who fancy joining a project? (Paid!) I'm fairly agnostic as to the stack (preferably something open) - Python back-end written by someone with no formal training (me) Proximity to Bradford, UK, ideal but I'm sure we can work things.

Took the kids for a day out at the zoo, but on checking my photos back at home I can't help feeling we've been had.

A friend tells me that her son is doing a sporting event today. It's called the "Otley Run" I have warned her he may be *extremely* tired afterwards, to the point of incomprehensible language and/or vomiting.

I don't think the new clinical fellows were expecting quite so much of their induction to be spent recounting the lore of small plastic research ducks. Welcome!

Running home, met a large group of young Asian men on the path. "Salaam alaikum," they said. Got me thinking how a Muslim runner meeting a large group of white men might feel in today's England. I doubt they'd feel as safe as I did as I jogged on past. Wa alaikum salaam

Waiting for the massive irony wherein the lack of prison places means that the rioting racists all end up on the Bibby Stockholm.

Pleased to discover that if you keep adding tabs after you hit the "smiley face" that represents 100, the web browser on my phone eventually gives up trying to count entirely.

Didn't realise my alarm clock was actually streaming its alarm sounds over the internet, until I woke up just now to a (silent) HTTP 403 (Forbidden) error... #InternetOf5417

Disappointed in James Cleverly this morning failing to acknowledge that perhaps the last government going hard on anti-immigrant rhetoric has helped stoke some of these fires. The rioters didn't come up with the "stop the boats" chant all by themselves...

Out running last night and there was a George Cross stone on the trig point. I hate that you can no longer assume it means pride in our country, because of racists. I reject these vile people trying to co-opt our flag. So have a photo of the sun setting further along instead.

Linux runs most of the internet, our phones, all sorts. If hackers have managed to get hold of the source code, there's no telling what they could do. (Spend several hours compiling their own custom kernel for a 1% speed-up, probably)
βοΈBreach Alert: I am sorry to do this to you on a Friday, but I am hearing from MULTIPLE SOURCES that Linux source code has been stolen and is being offered online.

This is completely untrue and you have my gynaecologist's word on that.
