At the 2023 National Planning Conference, the LAP familia toured the neighborhood, organized by Past-Chair Vidal Marquez. We were able to visit Taller Puertorriqueño and Delicias Bakery to learn about (and taste) the flavor of the neighborhood!

Did you know, the relationship between Philadelphia and the Caribbean spans over centuries? Sugar and tobacco were numerous and migration of cigar workers from Puerto Rico and Cuba allowed for an initial Spanish-speaking population in the city.
