We braved the rain to celebrate our Eco Schools Green Flag and the official opening of our outdoor learning space, which was beautifully designed by @sowingseedsuk. Thanks to @Spifox1 for the funding to create this important space and to @richardcairney for providing the music.

Potterhill exploring our new outdoor learning space! @sowingseedsuk did a super job of creating distinct learning zones with a variety of different textures and materials and ensured that accessibility was at the forefront of the design with ramps, and tables at different heights

Braidcraft took a trip to the shops today. They looked at different foods and practised their signing. Well done to L who was signing ’eggs’ and ‘dragon fruit‘. His mum said he’s been typing ‘dragon fruit’ in his communicator all week! Fingers crossed he gets one to try!

Linthaugh created real ‘Revolting Snacks’. The children created their own snack, choosing from colour coded images, and supported to bring their snack to life. Most of the class didn’t want to eat their food, but this pupil loved his marmite and orange on bread - yum/yuck?

Linthaugh have been reading Revolting Things to Touch and Feel. They had the opportunity to taste foods like pickle and mustard and then used @TobiiDynavox symbols for yes and no to indicate if they liked it or not. As you can see, their faces sometimes gave a clear response!
