Drug addiction and suicide are consequences of austerity and people’s life chances and living standards being hammered. Shame on the last Tory government and the current SNP government for this disaster. Scotland needs change.

More people than ever before are languishing on NHS waiting lists for multiple years. Under the SNP, Scotland's NHS is no longer free and available at the point of need. It's time for a new direction.

It is the duty of any government to build a better future for the next generation, but the SNP has done the opposite. My column for the @Daily_Record:

As the nation commemorates VE Day, Labour is announcing a new UK-wide veteran support system, called VALOUR, to ensure veterans have easier access to care and support. We owe a debt of gratitude to those prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice for our country.

The sacrifices of those who fought for peace must never be forgotten. It was a privilege to join Second World War veterans at Buckingham Palace in honour of VE Day. On behalf of the whole country, thank you for your service.
