Today is the first day of Black History Month. There's an outstanding interactive park near the square that celebrates the accomplishments of Denton ISD heroes Catherine Bell, Bettye Myers, Dorothy Adkins, Pat Cheek, & the Denton Women's Interracial Fellowship among others.

LAGRONE ACADEMY WILL BE RELEASING STUDENTS AND STAFF AT 1:30PM. NO PART-TIME STUDENTS IN THE AFTERNOON. Buses are are also scheduled to pick up students at 1:30 pm. Please be safe when driving today.
Denton ISD will close 2 hours early today due to persistent inclement weather; buses will run the regular routes 2 hours early. Our campuses and offices will remain open and keep non-bus riding students at school until parents arrive, and they can be safely transported home.
