The bottles materialised after a former patient gave feedback on the plastic waste of drinking 3 cups of water to prepare for pelvic radiotherapy treatment and the uncertainty on the volume each contains. Well Done Kelly - we are all v.proud of you and all that you have achieved.

Well done to our @kellypicken for being awarded a @LeedsHospitals Time to Shine award ⭐️Kelly worked with a patient to introduce water bottles for our radiotherapy patients that need to drink before their treatment. This resulted in reducing the number of cups we use in a year⭐️
Huge congrats to Kelly Picken from our Radiotherapy Service for winning the Improving Patient Experience Award at the T2S awards for introducing water bottles for patients. Thanks to this initiative a yearly total of 100,000 disposable cups have been replaced with 1500 bottles!
