Once more for those at the back of the class who haven't been paying attention: MILD INITIAL INFECTIONS CAN LEAD TO DEVASTATING LONG TERM ILLNESS.

Masks don't block SARS-CoV-2 but they do block vastly smaller carbon dioxide molecules and they do block other viruses like flu which is why you have immunity debt but also they don't block flu so you'll just have to get sick. Is that right?

A Long COVID plan?! Sounds great!! But... Long COVID isn't one thing, it's a collection of collateral harms. And I'd bet big $ that the case definition is going to be cruelly narrow. Why? Because the cost to treat is going to be sky-high. 1/15 https://t.co/NAilb0Fd1t

Thank you, @alexmunter for this frank tweet. Child vulnerability to severe COVID-19 is perhaps the most hotly denied pandemic reality. This is why my vaxxed kids wear respirator masks at school. Parents, please consider retweeting @alexmunter's message, to raise awareness.

Omicron wave of mass infection showing its impact. Too many friends & colleagues reaching out for advice on #LongCovid. Heartbreaking. A ๐งตon Rest & Pace. Biggest advice: don't repeat the mistake that most of us from the first wave in 2020 did i.e. push yourself. 1/

Children get long COVID, too, and it can show up in unexpected ways Thank you @CTVNews for covering this. The public urgently needs to know that their children aren't safe from #LongCovid, especially as all restrictions have been dropped & left to parents! https://t.co/qcUnbaGU5k

In theory there is a "low risk" of being in a collision any time you get in a car. That doesn't mean we do away with seat belts or air bags. When the actual risk includes potentially life long disability and even death it makes sense to do everything you can to mitigate. See:SIDS
Keeping safety measures up like mask use, ventilation, good information etc. is essential to protect *everyone* Even those apparently at low risk from covid because they are "young and healthy"

The US ๐บ๐ธ didn't fail miserably at protecting kids from Omicron. They intentionally used their bodies as human shields for the economy. #LongCovidKids were sacrificial lambs in MANY countries with Wave 5 & now 6. Some even at 3 & 4. We tried to warn you!

Racial bias in Canadaโs health care system makes diagnosing long COVID even more challenging, experts say

This may come as a surprise to a lot of people... But Viruses and pathogens age your body... As in..., they make it weaker after infection. It doesn't make you less vulnerable, it makes you MORE vulnerable... Bottom line, our immune system is fragile and poorly understood...

This is the type of data that needs to be reviewed. If the Venn diagram looks like one circle due to perfect overlap we'll have our answer.
@cocobelladoodle @Rpshahmemorial1 Are there any reports of this disease in children of low vaccinated countries where covid has infected most of the population?

It sometimes feels like many adults, and especially leaders don't know or care that children are sentient beings. If you actually interact with elementary aged kids though, you know Alphas are shaping up to be even more effective, take-no-prisoners self-advocates than Gen Z.
Absolute shocker: Kids' mental health suffers more when they are turned into walking viral vectors of infection by adults who pretend to care about kids so as to keep economies flowing and free childcare running yet strip them of all protections

If one thing is clear this far into the pandemic it is that MOST leaders DO NOT understand the complexity of immunity. Ask an immunologist. Forcing kids to get #Covid isn't doing them any favors. #LongCovidKids See the https://t.co/WiV3F195CQ symptoms gallery for why it's wrong!

Where you think the hepatitis comes from doesnโt change the fact that we need to stop structurally forcing children to get covid. Maybe they donโt want covid. Maybe future them doesnโt want covid.

The "Great Turkman", dictator of Turkmenistan, once banned the word "plague" when it was on the loose in his population. Not the type of Public Health policy anyone wants to see emulated by their leaders, and yet here we are.
Tomorrow we will get more bullshit from Copping, Hinshaw and Kenney here is what I could dig up to April 18th
