We show that voters are concerned with environmental issues but that politicians underestimate this demand. With a follow-up informational experiment, we communicated voter preferences to politicians, documenting evidence of learning but no greater support for policy action.

Our new paper, joint with @AllanHsiao, was published online yesterday at @AJPS_Editor. We conducted concurrent surveys of both voters and politicians in Indonesia to study the demand for environmental policy.
