Aggressive digital overproduction is not saving the industry nor is it making songs better, it is an act of ego by selfish producers and makes music sound a lot worse
@Komaniecki_R
common practice period music is limted by the fundamental frequency and the physical transduction limit of the instrument itself and does not represent "music" solely in the abstract but rather merely a parameterised categorical representation. it is a good system though.

Unless the lyrics are especially good according to your particular taste, lyrics don’t matter that much. Affords you more opportunity to enjoy music in foreign languages.

"The Orchestra" (both the western one and similar ensembles around the world, or just very large ensembles in general) are really cool and can access certain kinds of artistic expression that are unique and worthwhile
@Komaniecki_R
locking songs or pieces in a very specific structure or format don't take away, but reduce opportunity for emotional or creative expression

Anyone that says that Pinkerton or Kid A are the best albums by those bands, are only saying that because it is too obvious the album before them are better. They may have even talked themselves into believing this.

Idk if this is pretentious, but I believe people should do outside research before going to hear concerts. I have a MUCH better experience when I understand the context of what I’m going to see. Program notes, wiki pages, etc.

Live overtones matter and digitally produced ones will never be able to emulate the sensory experience of a live human playing a live instrument/voice
