While they may not get the same level of attention as the big federal election cycles, off-year elections can be just as important. There are plenty of races this year where the results will impact the lives of MILLIONS. This year will also set the tone for '24 in a big way!💙

As we commemorate and celebrate #BlackHistoryMonth, let’s remember that fighting for a country we deserve, a country that treats, honors, and celebrates Black people will take all of us pushing from all sides every. single. day. Happy Black History Month ❤️.

In a country where black people face routine violence and systemic oppression, it’s not enough to condemn bad actors. We need to fight alongside each other for a country where Black people can exist & thrive. None of us are free until ALL of us are free.

The path for the work we do now has been blazed by the likes of MLK and other civil rights heroes. They’ve shown us that, when we come together to demand our rights, we can win.

Efforts to suppress the vote persist to this day, targeting black and brown communities and low-income communities. So as long as this continues to happen, we’ll fight back with everything we’ve got.

Today — and EVERY day — we’re honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy by committing to the work of protecting, preserving, and expanding voting rights and fighting against injustice in all its forms.

HAPPY 2023!!!. After an incredible year of firsts in 2022 — first year canvassing post-pandemic, first time working on a ballot initiative, first time deep canvassing — we’re so pumped to dive into the new year and see where the work calls us!

Our team — and hopefully you too! — have been taking some downtime since the midterms. Taking time for rest doesn’t mean we’re giving up or we’re backing down. It means recharging, not just for the fights ahead, but for ourselves. So, friends, let’s rest for rest’s sake. 😎 😴♥️
