Grading Practices That Discourage Growth Mindset: 1. Deducting points for late work 2. Not allowing retakes 3. Allowing retakes but averaging the attempts 4. Grading for accuracy on 1st attempt. A must-read 🔥🔥 #HackingSchoolDiscipline

It is not our job as educators to tell students what to think or even how to think. We are to provide them with something worth thinking about, the tools to consider it, and the space to ponder. #MakeMathMatter #ActivelyWOKE #TheImWOKEProject

I can attest to how much this means to her students. Not being able to socialize with their peers can be so detrimental, but going to the mailbox and finding a letter, stickers, and assorted pages from her teacher just lights up my daughter’s day... and ours too 👩🏼‍🏫🖍✉️📬📝
