@Kathy_Arizona Forget the monetary cost. He's going to think about it for the rest of his life, question himself. I know. About 35 years ago I had to shoot a home intruder. A single .45 round, center mass. The investigation said, justified, self defense. I still think about it to this day.

@PhilQuintana7 Traumatic I'm sure. But not as traumatic as having to watch your wife or children be brutalized before your very eyes. No telling what someone who would break into your home would be capable of doing.

@Kathy_Arizona I am glad his case was dismissed & won't be retried. I'm sure it costed him tens of thousands if not a hundred thousand. These days, it's almost a requirement to have some type of legal insurance if one is a gun owner.
