I have been to collect my real Christmas tree. It is in situ, the net is off and it’s slowly opening its branches. Jupiter is in a state of awe and wonder. My fervent hope is that he tires of the idea of it very soon 🐈⬛🎄

It’s so very hot today, which can only mean there’s a big storm brewing. Time to move some of my more vulnerable plants undercover but all the tropicals, including the orchids, seem remarkably hardy given the conditions. Fingers crossed we don’t get any hail 🤞🏻

Now we’re all home from our travel adventures, I caught up with girlfriends for coffee this morning in this lovely place. Goodness it was hot though, iced lattes all round. Home now to lowering clouds and rumbling thunder���..summer in Queensland!

Well despite my disappointment with the Wallabies end of year tour and their final defeat in Paris, it seems I am still very keen on all things French. Baguettes were baked this morning and the chicken this evening will be augmented with these delicious things. Bon appétit 🥂

I’ve had such a lovely morning. A long walk with Apollo, lots of work in the garden and I prepped the Weber Kettle for a barbecue later. I’m going to make a chimichurri sauce to go with the steak, I must say I’m ridiculously excited 😁

Unbelievably we have 86% humidity (Channelling Jon Bon Jovi’s hair circa 1987) and 30° at 7pm so I’ve made coconut rice with Thai chicken, a mango salad and peanut sauce for dins. Goodness the cricket is exciting!

My Flame Tree is flowering so beautifully after its massive prune earlier in the year. All the local Poinciana Trees are in flower making for the most beautiful display.
