Troy lost starters to Indiana, West Virginia and Tulsa this spring. Had very limited money to replace them. Still finding a way to compete as one of the best mid-majors in the country. Heck of a story.

That was absolutely the wildest ending I’ve ever seen to a college basketball game. I’ve been watching since November 1982. Scott Cross is a HM basketball coach, and developer. That one will be hard to swallow, but help them in March. Troy is so damn good.

Brad Underwood, Chris Jans, Chris Beard, Grant McCasland, Ross Hodge, Todd Phillips and more that have had/having success in this new era. I don’t think it’s an accident that these guys were all very successful JUCO Head Coaches.
I actually do wonder if hiring JUCO coaches is a path mid-majors schools in smaller leagues start to pursue. I think it works with their familiarity with flipping roster quickly. Jeremy Shulman is doing a great job at UT-Martin and Hank Plona was one year removed from JUCO before
