Grateful to @GovRonDeSantis and @FLSERT for moving fast to bring Floridians home safely after Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. Our people are Florida’s greatest strength.
Thanks to @GovRonDeSantis and @FLSERT, Florida mobilized quickly to send relief flights and bring our citizens home safely following Hurricane Melissa in Jamaica. I was on the ground in Tampa to welcome these families as they arrived and to ensure they received the care and

On Thursday, I learned of Florida residents who were stranded in Jamaica in the wake of Hurricane Melissa, a category 5 storm. At my direction, @FLSERT and other state officials immediately went to work on a plan to get them home. I am happy to report that just now, a rescue

District judges are acting like they’re on the Appropriations Committee. 🤡 Hint: your job is to apply the law, not reallocate the Treasury. Stop playing fiscal activist in a robe. It’s judicial overreach, plain and simple.
Putting the SNAP debate aside, this sets a dangerous precedent. The Judicial Branch isn’t all-powerful—it has a clear set of constitutional powers that don’t include unilaterally appropriating funds. We too often allow the courts to behave like kings.

I called this a month ago. The next frontier in judicial supremacy would be courts writing appropriations during a government shutdown. https://t.co/ZlWSlRX5Cg Law of the land, baby!

100% agree with @RonDeSantis These @FlaDems should ask their fellow democrats to reopen the government
Fla @GovRonDeSantis rejects idea of stepping into help with SNAP benefits in November. Dems yesterday asked him to use emergency powers to buy food & help distribute it. "Did those Democrats write a letter to Chuck Schumer asking him stop filibustering the spending? Come on."

I've seen too many posts about potential rioting or theft over SNAP. I wouldn't recommend trying that here in Florida. Instead, consider calling Senate Democrats and telling them to allow the government to reopen. They're playing politics with a non-political clean funding bill.

I volunteer to oversee the hiring of college football coaches in Florida for @GovRonDeSantis. Let me know when i can start @JasonWeidaFL 🫡
Louisiana Governor Landry says LSU AD Scott Woodward won’t be hiring the next LSU head coach. Get your popcorn:

Naming a student speech and debate trophy after a man who was assassinated while debating on a college campus is good, actually. Not everything is “performative,” sometimes it’s just the right thing to do.
The rate in which RDS is taking on these performative BS actions in order to try to genuflect himself to MAGA is accelerating. Once again, the GOP failing to recognize that Republican control is not one of permanence and failing to recognize the resultant response when the other

Senate Democrats are more focused on stupidly ending Trump’s Brazil tariffs than they are on ending Day 28 of the government shutdown, which they blocked 13 times. Prioritize Americans over politics—pass the non-partisan GOP-led clean CR now—just a thought.
🚨 JUST IN: US Senate votes to TERMINATE President Trump's 50% tariffs on Brazilian imports, 52-48 REPUBLICANS who voted to reverse Trump's actions: Mitch McConnell, Thom Tillis, Rand Paul, Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins. Would still need to pass the HOUSE, which isn't

Larry Keefe has been the man on the ground for Florida’s nation-leading immigration enforcement efforts. We are grateful for his service to our state and the rule of law. He has done an exceptional job across the board.
NEW: Larry Keefe is out as executive director of the state Board of Immigration Enforcement. The governor's office tells me this is a "planned transition." Story coming...

Senate Democrats are more focused on taxpayer-funded benefits for illegal immigrants than funding support for actual American citizens. Their priorities are clear.
Congressional Republicans are more focused on playing partisan politics than ensuring 2 million Pennsylvanians continue to receive food assistance through their SNAP benefits. Their priorities are clear.
