Missionaries are to blame for a ton of the fall-out, afterward.
They banned dancing, surfing, hula -- anything they deemed as worldly or "sinful."
These Christian savages outlawed literal reminiscing about the history pre-white people. "Christians" whitewashed violent history.
The U.S. basically just said “sorry,” like a century later via President Bill Clinton. No reparations, no nothing.
Today, many Native Hawaiians consider Hawaii occupied by the U.S. And I agree with them.
U.S. History is so, so brutal and cruel.
I attended Jefferson Davis Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi. And I am 100% sure that I never learned how Hawaii became the 50th U.S. state. Not even the whitewashed version.
Jefferson Davis was the president of the Confederacy. School’s now Barack Obama Elementary.✊🏽✊🏽

Puritans who “dealt with” Native Americans & anyone who didn’t choose their religion/rules are the same energy/ideology of “missionaries.”
I did not know the history of Hawaii, 😢 …possibly because the control of US education is largely controlled by this same puritanical power.
@JohnathanPerk
No need for the quotation marks. Acting like people who do awful things aren't Real Christians is one of the support structures for christian supremacy. Let's not prop it up for them.
@JohnathanPerk
dancing, surfing, hula. Now you can make a good living doing these things well, and they are appreciated and celebrated.
I don't know what the point of stoking fabricated animosity does except dehumanization and erasure of "Christians" "Americans" "colonizers" (whyte pipo)
