Not ink, that's two layers of Xpress Color (or contrast) and a Drybrush in between.
And yeah, you can grime afterwards

Educated guess based on photo:
Magenta Contrast type paint
Drybrush of light ivory or white
Warm Yellow contrast type paint

Will be interesting to see your process. Personally, I've never had a problem with painting yellow or any color for that matter.
