I know I'm gonna get shredded for this as being insensitive, but some of my peers need to stop posting only negative stuff. It's ok to have a bad day and vent, but some of you have literally made it your brand. After awhile it wears people down. I love you, but I can't follow you
@JesseCox
I feel the same way about political stuff also. I had to unfollow a bunch of people I really liked because all that was coming out of them was bitching about politics
@JesseCox
You'd hope people like Russ Pitts would take a step back and analyze how the constant negativity towards potential readers is going to hurt The Escapist in the long run.
@JesseCox
i used to be this person but then i made an account where i vent so now it's kinda like my diary and only the people that wanna hear the bullshit can follow it
@JesseCox
Same, have had to stop watching streamers I like cause they bring the mood down so much in their streams by complaining and lashing out. Appreciate people being real but a constant negative outlook weighs too heavily on everyone eventually.
@JesseCox
A constant stream of negativity does a lot to poison the mind. It's perfectly fine to not want to have to be subjected to that all the time. Anyone who claims taking that stance is "insensitive" is probably someone who feels entitled to other people's attention.
@JesseCox
I've fallen into this trap. As I've grown older and moved around all my friends are online, so I rant online like I would to my friends, but then I've had to stop and remind myself i use Twitter for networking too so I need to post about positive things more.
@JesseCox
Youβre not being insensitive. Your mental health is just as important as theirs. Perhaps they need some resources for professional care? I donβt know how close you are with these people, but if you are close... maybe talk with them (privately) about seeking out a therapist.
