Low-intensity focused ultrasound (LIFU) uses low-energy acoustic waves to transiently modulate neuronal activity. Tissue heating from LIFU has been reported to be < 2 °C at up to 12W/cm2 [1] which is...

Mourning the loss of Dr. Nolan Williams, who passed away unexpectedly October 8th. He was an extraordinarily creative physician-scientist who created highly effective treatments for psychiatric disorders. For me, he was also a mentor and a friend. He will be sorely missed.

🧠⚡️Brain stimulation is powerful, yet its effects are notoriously variable: identical parameters can produce very different outcomes. In our new preprint, we show how the brain’s state before stimulation helps explain and reduce this variability. 1/n https://t.co/ouVuQGn77c
