Truly exciting to start #fieldwork as part of the @NASA @bioscape_usa_sa Program in S. Africa! @NASA aircraft were flying over Algoa Bay today, while we were measuring #phytoplankton and #carbon dynamics in this coastal area that is one of the world’s 36 #biodiversity #hotspots!

There is a general pessimism about progress in managing invasive species. But, we all know about success stories. We need to scale up and replicate such "seeds" of success! Read how we can "create alternative visions of the future" to ensure better invasive species management.

Such a common issue. The developing world hostage to western "expert knowledge" backed by their economic clout. Riding roughshod over hard-one local knowledge and implementing maladaptive "adaptation", "mitigation" and even "restoration" projects that're going to hurt us!
