Grateful for this piece on women’s pain. The voices of women about their pain , whether acute or chronic pain, have been unheard or dismissed for far too long .

There's an ongoing shift in how providers treat women's pain, especially for reproductive care.

The Article identifies people living with #pain can be experiencing lack of support. Clinicians can help them explore other sources of support, such as attending a support group. @Peoplepain These groups offer a balance b/ w education and support

It is time for public health to adopt a 'disability data justice' approach & address deep-rooted ableism. Health equity is only possible when the disability community is included, & filling data gaps is a needed first step. @JHUDisability @Health_Affairs

Public health data systems and infrastructure must be built to collect disability data and use this information to combat ableism and support equity and social justice.
