Key findings: .- No clear advantage over facemask for maternal oxygenation or apnoea time in low-risk patients. - May increase arterial partial pressure of O2, but evidence of increased apnoea time inconsistent. - No adverse maternal or neonatal outcomes reported.

Intraoperative pain can have significant psychological impact for patients and medicolegal implications for providers. Further prospective studies are required to characterize, understand the impact of pain experiences and develop techniques to reduce this complication.

We know disparity in the provision of labour epidural analgesia exists, a step to improving this is ensuring the patient information available is at an appropriate readability level. Excellent work led by Dr Val Weber with other residents at @uclh.
