In Berlin this week, I met global investors and spoke at the Infrastructure Investor Global Summit.   I first came here as a teenager on an exchange — so it’s always good to be back.   My message was that we are moving UK from plans to delivery, and open for long‑term investment.

This #ApprenticeshipWeek we welcomed @jamesmurray_ldn, Chief Secretary to the Treasury to our Brentside Education Centre. It was an opportunity to showcase our award-winning apprenticeship scheme that has kickstarted thousands of ambulance service careers in London.

Great to visit @Ldn_Ambulance today and meet apprentices training to become emergency medical technicians. It was inspiring to see their passion and skill. Backing apprenticeships is so important for our public services, skills and growth.

Potholes are dangerous, which is why we’ve doubled government funding to fix roads and tackle them. This week I was in Darlington seeing the great work @darlingtonbc are doing to fix potholes for local residents.

Yesterday I toured Leeds South Bank with @TracyBrabin, which is set to deliver up to 13,000 new homes near Leeds city centre.   It’s a clear example of how we are getting spades in the ground across the country and making change happen for generations to come.
