Life update: I’ve accepted a position as a digital content marketing manager for @Go_Aptive in Provo. There are a lot of things I’m going to miss about the sports broadcast world, but now felt like as good a time as any to gain new experience.

I’ve seen some pretty absurd justifications for leaving BYU out but these two are my favorite: 1. “BYU lost to the same team TWICE.” Like losing to the same team twice is somehow worse than losing to two (or more) lesser teams once. 2. “BYU would get blown out by ‘x team’.”

BYU lost by more than three scores to Texas Tech. We lost by three points to Miami. I really need BYU fans to chill on talking about Notre Dame — you scored 7 points in your loss. Not great please sit this one out and focus on having a better showing tomorrow.

Wouldn’t blame Kalani at all for leaving to Penn State. If BYU wants to sustain success at a P4 level, they need to make P4 level commitments to its coaching staff.

Ooo since we’re just making up rules now, let’s have Utah and BYU play in the Big 12 championship. TTU gets an at large bid, winner of CCG gets auto bid. Boom, two bids.
This might be an unpopular take ... but if I'm the ACC and Cal upsets SMU, I override the tiebreakers and put Miami in the ACC championship game against Virginia.

Two biggest defensive adjustments I noticed from BYU coming out of halftime: 1. Started going over screens. 2. Put AJ on L’Etang and Keba on Keonte Jones.

That straw man didn’t stand a chance.
With all due respect, BYU is held to different standards because they hold themselves to different standards. Fans don’t get to spout superiority because of the honor code and then look the other way when it’s broken. That’s the issue.
