I didn't know you were reading my tweets, but in any case some Jewish sources consider them two closely related languages spoken by Adam, Noah, and Abraham.

To be fair, it is a fair question that people have been asking for the past year - is al-Sharaa wearing a suit and tie costume while secretly harboring Salafi-Jihadi ideas? But if you want to make the case, you would at least need substantial hard evidence, not conjecture.

This is Life of Brian-style parody: "Only a true terrorist would deny he's a terrorist!"
One year after the fall of the Assad regime in #Syria. Is Ahmad al-Sharaa, the current president, truly moderating — or is he in fact implementing al-Qaeda’s strategy on his path back to becoming al-Joulani? This article presents the strict view that al-Sharaa has not changed his

Even from a purely security-only perspective (which I tend to dislike) Israel's posture in Syria has probably created far more risks than it should have. Netanyahu's government generally has a pattern of creating crises instead of solving or preventing them in the first place.
Eyal Zisser points out that Israel's fear of small terror cells popping up is a direct result of not allowing the central government to rein in the chaos in southern Syria. He argues for a deal with Damascus. (The headline is not the main point here.) https://t.co/f3JbCauMGl

Al-Sharaa's security forces near Damascus stopped a group of five people from smuggling over 1,000 land mines to Hezbollah in Lebanon. Hezbollah might still be able to get cash from Iran, but it's much harder to get physical weapons via Syria now. https://t.co/5tQ7jsHX6a

Israeli observers assess the chaotic reality on the Syrian border, where a mix of jihadist factions operate and where the IDF established positions.

If we remember back 366 days ago Syria was less free, less safe, had less electricity, and was on the verge of permanent division and economic devastation. Today there are still many challenges, but Syria has far more tools to deal with them, and strong regional support.

I can't comprehend how Grok is framing this. Ms. Rachel is not "facing backlash" - A few weirdos are abusing the term antisemitism, and it is completely unclear why they're doing it. I suspect they are trolling, just like 99% of the online flat earthers. https://t.co/ty3dbJBnkN

This is an interesting article that delves pretty deeply into the status quo regarding non-Muslim visitation to the Haram al-Sharif (Temple Mount) complex. It clarifies how religious Jewish leaders have discussed the matter, and what the "status quo" is.

I'm always blown away to see the way Aramaic is written in Ma'aloulah and a few villages near the Lebanese border in Syria. Many people often mistake their script for modern Hebrew, but these are Christian communities who simply never forgot Aramaic. https://t.co/aLlrrpnDTr

As much as I am often harshly critical of Israeli actions in Syria, I don't believe their primary intention is to overthrow the regime. Meanwhile: Assad's exiled spy chief and billionaire cousin plot Syrian uprisings from Russia

Went to a small jazz event with high schoolers and it was great. The guys were quite good, and we often forget how good it sounds to hear a completely acoustic band in a mid-sized room.

It's telling when Israel's most left-wing opposition candidate with mainstream support thinks "post-Zionist" is the worst pejorative one than possibly say.

The irony is that if Netanyahu wanted to show muscle in Syria he would send in special forces to arrest al-Hijri and extradite him immediately and call for a fair integration of Suwayda into Syria.
