The John Sykes Foundation is proud to continue supporting the Berkshire MS Therapy Centre and its incredible community of staff, volunteers, and service users, whose dedication and resilience make a profound difference to the lives of local people affected by MS.

The relationship between our two organisations has continued to grow, including with Trustee Annabelle Sykes running the London Marathon this year to raise funds in support of the Centre’s life-changing services.

We have proudly supported BMSTC since September 2021, who have this year been awarded a King’s Award for Voluntary Service, recognising the incredible contribution the charity makes to individuals and families across Berkshire.

This grant will directly contribute to the Centre’s oxygen therapy treatments, a crucial service that many members rely upon to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.

We are delighted to announce a donation of £1,000 to the Berkshire Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre (BMSTC), supporting their vital oxygen therapy service for local people living with MS.

Thank you to the incredible staff and students at Brookfields for welcoming us back with open arms. We’re already looking forward to our next visit and more tail-wagging moments together 🐾✨

It’s always inspiring to see how these interactions create calm, connection, and confidence in such a supportive environment.

The students lit up as soon as Milly arrived — from gentle strokes and cuddles to excited games of fetch, every moment highlighted the comfort and joy she brings.

It was another heartwarming visit for the Foundation this month as our furry friend Milly our wonderful @PetsAsTherapyUK dog, with her owner Christina, joined us once again at Brookfields Special Educational Needs School 🐶💙 @brookfieldsSEN

We were also pleased to visit the services and information marketplace, featuring impactful organisations including Olly's Work, @no5youngpeople, N3W Angle, and @StartingPointRG, all working to empower and support young people across our community.

The day featured energising workshops, discussion sessions, and a Q&A panel exploring the four key topics young people have identified as their biggest concerns: Bullying & Hate Crime, Violence Against Women and Girls, Exploitation, and Reporting.

Last week, we were proud to attend the second annual “Young Voices Safety Summit,” bringing together young people, local services, and community organisations to discuss the issues that matter most to them.
