We have mass poverty, 90% in unorganised sector, and millions of seasonal migrants. The local admn can provide shelter and food; but our capacity is limited. It is best to help them get back to their home towns/villages. The lockdown may be extended where needed.
@JP_LOKSATTA
poor infrastructure in rural hospitals is what the past governments responsible for ages.
aren't the migrated people to rural areas when affected result in mass casualties?
@JP_LOKSATTA
Bn states @ borders people are treated so badly, fear... IR should run free trains in the coming days to ferry these poor people to reach their home. Govt intentions are Good, But poor planning in execution is the root causes of all problems
@JP_LOKSATTA
After movie review is the least expected from you sir, Being an active(Not so) politician you waited for All this to happend so that you could Comment from your balcony now.. NOT EXPECTED FROM AN IAS, Manchivallu THAPPUNI CHUSTU mounanga undatam kuda thappe sir 🙏🙏🙏
@JP_LOKSATTA
And what will these people do in their hometowns/villages? There will be no work there as well. If the lockdown is extended, people will face tremendous difficulties to sustain themselves there as well
@JP_LOKSATTA
Everytime we see such crisis situation in country, Every single time the administration fails to come out on top...When will the centre figure out? Will it ever figure out?Only blame..blame state governments, blame opposition..The governance in this Nation is a Trainwreck on loop
@JP_LOKSATTA
All are busy with thinking on seasonal migrates. Here we educated (employee) migrate s stocked in chennai. We have facing lot of problems. Only solution for this send back to andhra villeges.
@JP_LOKSATTA
There are hundreds of schools/colleges/function halls and cinema halls which are empty now but lakhs of people are stranded along the roads sleep on roads, under trees, walking hundreds of kilometers. Local administrators and collectors must think of using resources effectively.
@JP_LOKSATTA
There might be a chance of community transmission, if these crowd of migrant workers are transported in bulk and also they face quarantine problems in their home state .It's very hard to regulate and control them which is very dangerous.
@JP_LOKSATTA
It may also be considered to keep their Aadhar card and residing address details & may be home quarantined for specific period. Like deminitisation, lockdown announcement was apt & aggressive decision, authorities supposed to ensure proper implementation failing drastically
@JP_LOKSATTA
Going back to villages is the worst option as the virus will spread to villages. It is better to partially start firms and factories than to ask them to go to villages

India has to find new ways to deal with
#COVID19
as we are densely populated. The most vulnerable are >60 . Instead of complete lockdown, provide quarantine facilities for people >60 either in homes, schools or hotels
