Zy Rouse crashes in from the 3 for the touchdown, but Fairfield Central blocks the extra point so it's still a one-score game. Rebels up 15-7, but with only 1:16 left in the game

Strom Thurmond down to the Fairfield Central 16, up 9-7 with 2:42 to play. Griffins use their first timeout. Costly offsides call gave the Rebels a fresh set of downs

4th and 1 from the Griffins 38, Zy Rouse plows ahead for 9. Another huge first down as we approach 4:30 left in the game, Thurmond still hanging onto that 9-7 lead

Third and long for the Rebels at their own 5, and Bri'Shaun Lee airs it out for Kaleb Simpkins. Simpkins bobbles it and pulls it in for 48 yards. Huge play to extend the drive as we approach 6 minutes to play

Three and out forced by the Strom Thurmond defense, which has been excellent tonight. Fairfield Central punts it down to the Thurmond 8. Rebel ball, up 9-7 with 9:06 to play

Nothing doing for the Thurmond offense on that drive. Rebels punt, and it's not a great one. Fairfield Central takes over at the Thurmond 48, trailing 9-7 with 10:25 to play. Griffins definitely winning the field position battle right now

End 3: Strom Thurmond 9, Fairfield Central 7 Thurmond will start the 4th with a second and 7 at its own 29

4th and 2 from the Fairfield Central 48. Thurmond goes for it but is stopped. Huge for the Griffins, who have it back at midfield down 9-7 with 2:05 in the third quarter

4th and 1 for Thurmond at its own 41. That means it's Zy Rouse time. He picks up 3, first down. Still 9-7 Thurmond, under 4 minutes to go in the third

Fairfield Central quickly into Thurmond territory after a long kickoff return and a personal foul. 4th down from the 6, they try a jump pass that Kaleb Simpkins breaks up in the end zone. Huge stop for Thurmond, up 9-7 with 9 minutes and change in the third
