Or did NJ mis-speak, accidentally saying July instead of June. June would be consistent with his comment 'an hour and 3/4 after he had been born'. July is not. SK shd have corrected him, but - as with all the witnesses at trial and Thirlwall - was easily led.
@FRANKANDROSEY Could it be a typo?

Mum's evidence at trial was aspirin/heparin (to replace warfarin) for her APS. No account of intravenous Ig, afaik.

Hmm. The 3-letter acronym could be APS (which was well-referenced). The 2nd column seems to be used for a clinical summary, not necessarily the cause of death. The CoD (3rd) column has only (redacted) dates and no causes of death.

@SpringFord14 @Irrel_and_Sens @gilham_stuart Sadly a situation happening across the NHS. Rationalisation of services, merger of units, closure of some and sub-optimal / potentially dangerously low staffing levels in others. Regrettably it is commonly not the under-performing / poor outcome / unsafe units that are closed.š

In the light of this correction from the 'journalists who attended every day of the trial', I'm just wonderingš¤how many times the jury, like them, may have mis-heard 'not unexpected' as 'not expected', given what they were being asked to believe....??
Why do they want to make Baby A the sicker twin? Born with no heartbeat, expertly revived, still needed CPAP. Both born "blue and floppy" Baby B was born with a heart rate of 50, survived trainees' resus attempts and was vigorous & "breathing by herself" after Brunton helped

J Goss (and the appeal judges) INCORRECTLY allowed it to be left to the jury as to whether to accept DE's and SB's stated beliefs that 'harm' was deliberate. "It is not [their role] to tell the court whether [harm] was accidental [or not]". That "approach is .. wrong". 3/3

This is a very significant intervention from a previous Director of Professional Affairs at the Royal College of Surgeons, who held Specialist Registration in both Cardiology and General Surgery (until his retirement). @LucyLetbyTrials @Michelehal7344 @NeoDoc11 @legalmarkmc
@VeraBaird Re Letby: I am a retired Consultant Vascular Surgeon who worked alongside Dewi Evans. I understand cardiovascular physiology. I am certain that none of the babies died from air embolism from the presentation and autopsies. The court has been deliberately misled by Evans and co.

Why is anyone surprised that we have miscarriages of justice when all the statutory protections against MoJ are set aside in these cases? @VeraBaird @Thirlwall_Inq @PeterElston1 @MartynPitman @Michelehal7344 @legalmarkmc @J4BenGeen

Note Judge Coulson's criticism of the expert witness and his conclusion: "it was as far removed from a gross negligence manslaughter case as it is possible to be". So how did CPS advise that there was a realistic chance of conviction? @PeterElston1 @VeraBaird
@PeterElston1 You could also add: Errol Cornish: doctor, wrongly charged (gross negligence manslaughter). (Same issue: overzealous experts) https://t.co/oaLBWHdpuuā¦

This is the consequence of an approach to safeguarding advocated for by @Thirlwall_Inq, without adequate controls in place. Utterly unbearable for parents wrongly-accused, and their children. Long-lasting harm.
Another mother falsely accused of harming her baby because she was thought be suffering from fabricated or induced illness (what used to be known as Munchausen's by proxy). https://t.co/VgGDWmQeVp

Charlotte Purdy: "I do definitely believe the CCRC will push it to the Appeal Court. I think the public pressure; it's already intense there. So I think she will get another chance of an appeal. Internationally all eyes are on Great Britain to sort this out and with some haste."

Rest in peace, Patricia Routledge šš» In memory of her, I encourage everyone to read these words of hers from February last year. Whether young or old, you're bound to get something out of it. ***** "Iāll be turning 95 this coming Monday. In my younger years, I was often

"It's such an awful thing to happen. God forbid it, anything like this, happens to anybody else." [7:15] Worth re-listening to the whole interview with Karen Rees (18 September 2023) shortly after LL's first convictions. Courageous and honourable.
