New York’s passport office on Hudson had me out the door seven minutes after my appointment time to renew my passport and pickup time was even less. Thanks and nice job @statedept employees! Shockingly efficient.

Our first AMA is out! Interestingly, the thing that got the most questions was the little shout-out I give to Torey Malatia at the end of each episode we do. You can hear the whole AMA - and get other bonus content! - if you sign up at https://t.co/B1aWDlWntB.

My former co-workers @BriHReed (who did S-Town) and @RobynSemien (who did '129 Cars' and a million other great TAL stories) have a brand new show! A podcast called Question Everything. As part of it they also cranked out this video of an ep I'm in. https://t.co/jYZYK7bbTm

The director of This American Life's TV show (on Showtime, years ago) made this film and it's funny and moving and unlike anything else. I'm in it briefly (he talks abt the TV show) but I'm the smallest part of it. It's wonderful.

Filmmaker Chris Wilcha set out to make a number of documentaries over the years. They've been melded together into one, called Flipside, which is out on demand now.

Just released - “Come Retribution” - the latest episode of @ThisAmerLife inspired by my book, “Tired of Winning”. The episode includes some remarkable interviews by people who defied Trump and now fear what will happen to them if Trump returns to power.

NYC! After a day of being sick in bed I am up and about and thrilled to be doing a Q&A with director Chris Wilcha about his wonderful, utterly original film Flipside at 2:55 at IFC. He directed our TV show and I love his movie (which I'm in, a little). https://t.co/6tmi2AzqRg

NYC! One of the most memorable episodes of our show was about @jonronson's book The Psychopath Test. He's doing a stage show version with updates that seems like it'll be his usual mix of incredibly fun and disturbingly thought-provoking. Sept 22!

I love this book. A typical insight: Michael Cunningham makes the argument that "talent" isn't as important as a kind of spectrum-y obsessiveness and interest in the problem of making your work great. @penguinpress

In my 20s I worked the overnight at NPR and wrote intros for Bob Edwards. He had a very specific wry way of delivering a funny line. Masterful. So fun to write, imagining it in his voice and then he'd nail it every time. Raising a bourbon to you today,Bob.

Edwards, a consummate newsman, hosted NPR's morning show for more than two decades. "He sort of set the tone and the bar for all of us," says one former NPR executive.

Yes this week for the first time ever we’re putting out an extra podcast. It’s not a full show. It’s a story about things happening right now that we worried might not hold for a few weeks, and it seemed better to get it out now.
Our producer, @chanajoffewalt, had a series of conversations with a man in Gaza over the course of one week. They're so immediate – and particular to this moment in the war in Gaza – that we're bringing them to you now, outside of our regular schedule.

This is fascinating. A Jew in London tries to talk to his Jewish colleague in Israel about how the war looks to him – especially all the Gazan civlians being killed and maimed and blockaded – and they cannot see eye to eye. Illuminating and unusual.
