When asked if he would like to make a statement before sentencing, Daybell simply said "No." Boyce also did not address Daybell directly after saying the victim impact statements & the death sentences make it clear the seriousness of the crimes.

The state recommended $130,000 and $300,000 restitution be paid back for the life insurance payouts he fraudulently collected. Boyce will take under advisement.

UPDATE: The judge has agreed with the jury's decision and sentenced Chad Daybell to death on 6 counts of first degree murder, conspiracy & grand theft. He also imposed an addt'l 30 years for two counts insurance fraud. Restitution will be taken under advisement.
