Grieve with him. You both need each other’s support right now. He needs to know it’s okay to be sad but you’re there for him
Very important:
Offer more attention and love than usual to him. Grab an old ticking time clock. Put it in a pillow carrying her scent so he can ease…
Our life is so sad. We adopted two gorgeous puppies 14 years ago from the same litter. They have never been apart and they were so bonded. 2 weeks ago our little girl Roz (she's the smaller one in the pictures) was fine on Saturday. By 7 am Sunday morning I had her at emergency.…

I got teary eyed after reading your post. Grieve with him so he knows he’s not alone. I wish both of you will find comfort in due time. Remember that time heals all wounds my dear. Taking care of each other is the best support system you can offer.

Please, please adopt another dog for him to bond with. That is what I did for my dog, and anyone who says dogs do not grieve have never seen it like we have. God bless you for loving her.

Your response was amazing. I was about to recommend that he lay next to his boy. Cry if you need to. Let him know losing her is devastating for you too.
You said it all. 😢😔♥️🙏

He knows you are grieving too- I am convinced dogs and their people are the best of us. You will both see her again- talk about that with him and it will help you too. 🎈

I was coming to say the same thing, but Darby has said it much more beautifully. Grief shared is halved, and I think he’d like to know that it’s ok for him to be sad in front of you. So, so sorry for your loss
