Another brilliant article by the most thoughtful and curious orthopaedic surgeon I've met. Not sure he can write a bad one. Some very touching personal narratives from Hiro Tanaka

Enjoyable day teaching on @RCSEd #CoSMoS course - Comm Skills that Matter for Surgeons. Great lessons on Shared Decision Making & the complexities of communicating risk. Proud of my friend & colleague @Rungichungi who developed and implemented. Edinburgh looking 👍 in the Sept 🌞

I first met Peter on a very cold street one evening, as junior doctors rallied before taking strike action (in 2015! Many moons ago!). He’s an absolutely lovely person. If anyone isn’t following him yet, please do 💙🌟

Ignore Government lies & spin - this is why I’m standing with the junior doctors who sacrificed so much to keep us safe during the pandemic. If you’re standing with them too RT this widely. Let’s do what we know in our hearts is right

St Marks retractor great for deep, difficult to see places like the pelvis. Version with a light source even better. 👍👍 My most pressing question is should there be an apostrophe…🧐🧐

Oh boy. If I operate in the UK 🇬🇧 I need to learn these different names for the same instruments.

Important to be familiar with instrument names. I know different names used depending on Geography. Anyone do a North American version for me? #SurgEd #CoreSurgicalTraining #BasicSurgicalSkills

Not sure if this is going to be more helpful as an Upper GI surgeon or a Parent but really interesting.

A button battery within the oesophagus is an endoscopic emergency. These photos, taken at 2 hours, show how giving honey and sucralfate can reduce caustic injury and buy time 🍯💊 #GITwitter #MedEd https://t.co/Eia4KLY90Y
