I'd like to make some corrections to this statement.
So, the graph above isn't the full playercount. It's based on a sample size from an old social media website, GamerDNA. These numbers are incomplete.
A link to the paper can be found here:
However, I would like to point out that conclusions can still be drawn from the proportions of this sample, in terms of statistics.
That would require a lot of stats work to get right, and I'd need to know more about the sample methods and numbers to accomplish that.
@Arrrrash
I'm not rewriting history, I'm simply finding a perspective based on real, hard numbers, and not the rose tinted glasses of a gassed up launch and happy memories.
If you have a graph that has actual evidence to prove your point, I'd be happy to see it.
@Hyper_Falcon
I quote tweeted this tweet with actual factual rebuttel evidence.
You are taking the word of a research paper by some student using a website called "gamerDNA" over actual numbers from Bungie/Microsoft.
Literally just lying for the sake of engagement.
@Hyper_Falcon
You might be blinded because 45,000 was definitely not the max concurrent player number, I know that you are trying to cope with the recent events but there's other ways to do it.
@ADrearyBear
I dunno dawg
Those look like cold, hard numbers from a credible source.
Unless their sample size is smaller than the population, I don't know what to tell ya.
@Hyper_Falcon
Don’t even sit here and compare a game that was
#1
on Xbox live for 3 years straight with way more players than that chart to the dogshit halos we have now that could actually fit their player counts on that chart. Social slayer alone in h3 had 500k players.
