In 1958, ODNR's Merrill Gilfillan proposed The Buckeye Trail to get young people to slow down & enjoy the native land. @hikethebt has evolved into a state-designated trail that journeys 1,400+ miles to all four corners of Ohio as you Follow the Blue Blazes of the Buckeye Trail.

Sometimes looking for love STINKS! 🦨 Have you noticed an increase in these odoriferous creatures recently? 👃 The mating season for striped skunks is in Feb & early March. Skunks are known for their ability to spray musk—up to 15 feet! —as a last line of defense when threatened.
