In short I believe Marxist theory makes it clear that it cannot. Genuine revolution necessarily entails an element of violence, not merely in the physical confrontation with the old order, but in the rupture with the entire social and ideological structure that sustains it. 1/8.
Can a successful revolution be pacifist?.
